Gaurangi Mehta Shah is an expressionist. She believes that behind every face there is a story. Story of one's own. Story of our internal and external journey. Stories of our lives, our experiences, our emotions. Stories of our world. Our memories. Our moments. Her artwork taps into her subconscious and finds its way out through colors, lines, marks, forms, symbols, all telling an internal story. Her journey into art has allowed her to evolve. She is largely inspired by writings of Freud and Jung and the ordinariness of life which invokes her imagination. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally. She is a self-taught artist who has lived and travelled extensively outside India. Now she lives in Mumbai.
